This is the initial book in Stratus' Polish Wings series. This series covers the aircraft that were either flown by the Polish Air Force or by Polish pilots. This and most of the initial editions are not in English, but totally in Polish and that includes photo captions. However, this is not a barrier to what is a superlative book on the subject aircraft.

Most of us can piece together what is being said  to some degree, but the real treat in this book are the photographs and the superb profiles. The quality of the images, especially when one considers that these are from the 1920s and early 1930s, is first rate and many show considerable detail. Sure, there are those that show crashed planes and some that show pilots or crews, but there are even more that are in flight images and

Despite the language barrier, this is an outstanding book and is well worth the investment on the strength of the photos and color profiles alone. In addition to the profiles and photos, there is a chart that shows all the unit geometric markings that were in vogue during this time. There are also a few airframe diagrams and cockpit drawings that will be quite useful for the modeler.

Overall, an excellent book about aircraft types that one rarely hears about and even more rarely sees modeled.
