The most recent addition to the very popular 'Walk Around' series is this edition on the EA-6B Prowler.

Typical of the series, there is a very brief historical introduction and then we get into the photographs. These are a mixture of both period images and those taken of aircraft in various museums, starting with the early F-8A/B versions. Those who have been reading this series for a while will appreciate that the book alternates pages in terms of black & white and color photography. This provides period images on one set of pages with the close-ups taken of preserved aircraft on the next set. Since the Crusader isn't exactly an 'old time' aircraft, there are plenty of color images taken of the overall aircraft during its operational life as well.

All of the salient features of the different variants are covered and that includes coverage of those aircraft used by the Philippines and France, which kept operating the F-8 until late in 1999.

As usual, there are lots of close-up images of every nook and cranny of the F-8; the kind of shots so beloved by those who really enjoy super-detailing their models. In addition to all the images are four pages of profiles covering all the major variants.

Overall, another excellent and very usable detail book.
