Continuing on with the very popular 'Walk Around' series is this edition on the EA-6B Prowler.

Typical of the series, there is a brief historical background and then we get into the photographs. Since this is an aircraft that is still current, there are no lack of photos of operational aircraft , so we don't have to rely on museum planes as is so common when dealing with older aircraft. There are photographs of every conceivable part of the aircraft. No antenna, vent or other protuberance has gone unphotographed.

This photo coverage includes very nicely done cockpit photographs. Probably the only thing that is really missing are drawings of the differences between the different ICAP variations, though the book generally mentions if an aircraft shown is a specific version or not.

In addition to the close-up stuff, there are a number of nicely done overall aircraft photos as well as four pages of profiles. Color coverage is provided in about half the pages. For instance, you'll turn a page and find that both the pages you are looking at are in color. Turn the page again and they are in greyscale, and so on. An interesting way of formatting it and one that works quite well.

One thing I know, EA-6B fanatics will love this book and those of us who are trying to make heads or tails out of the differences will find it quite helpful.
