The latest in the Squadron 'Walk Around' series is this one on the C-130 Hercules. It would be more correct to call it 'USAF C-130 Hercules' as the vast majority of the photos are of the various Air Force versions. There is a smattering on USN/USMC and Foreign aircraft, but no close-up stuff on these types so if you are seeking info on specific items on non-USAF Herks, then you won't find it here. I found it particularly disappointing that there was nothing, not even a photo, of the EC-130Q TACAMO aircraft as I was associated with these planes for a number of years.

Generic info on cargo compartments, engines, landing gear and such are provided with much more in-depth coverage given of the EC-130H, MC-130, HC-130, and quite extensive amounts of coverage of the AC-130.

There are a large number of color and black & white photos supplied, as well as a number of color profiles.

If you are looking for a bit more of the nuts and bolts on the aircraft than what is provided in the 'In Action' series, then this would be an excellent all round primer on the type.
