The latest book from two of the leading writers on things Russian is undoubtedly their most colorful.

This one covers all of the various airlines that sprang up after the fall of the Iron Curtain. With the dissolution of the Soviet Union went the break-up of the world's largest airline, Aeroflot. Previously, Aeroflot had been divided into sections, and was a para-military organization. What then happened is that each section became an independent airline with its own name, leaving Aeroflot to be a ghost of its previous glory.

In this book, the authors delve into nearly every airline that sprang up in the early 1990s. Included are those currently operating as well as those who have gone by the wayside. Though not all of the over 400 airlines are represented, most are. Each airline is provided with a brief history as well as what types are operated and as many photos of their different liveries as can be found.

What is particularly cool about this book is that it is in full color so you can see what the aircraft look like in all their splendor. There are over 300 images that truly make this a book that is a MUST HAVE for the airline enthusiast.
