In concert with the Newark Air Museum in the UK, authyor Martin Derry has produced the first of several volumes covering specific British aircraft types that were prevalent in the decade of the 1960s.

This includes the Hawker Hunter, EE Canberra, Vickers Valetta and the De Havilland Vampire trainer. Each section has a plethora of quality color photographs with each identifying the aircraft, serial and sometimes its full history in terms of squadron useage. Of course, not all the images are from the 1960-70 time frame as sometimes there are images from the 50s and sometimes they are later showing how the airframe may have evolved prior to the type being removed from service.

In addition to the color photos, each aircraft type has a full four view illustration by Richard Caruana, highlighting one of the aircraft shown in the photos.

But it is the photos that are the real draw. Most have come from private collections to the museum and then into this book. The result is a plethora of images that were very new to me and probably will be to you as well. It makes for an outstanding book of eye candy for those who appreciate aircraft from this era in general, and British aircraft in particular. I thoroughly enjoyed going through this one and I know you will as well. Makes for a book I can easily recommend for you. You'll like it.
