NOTES:

The Fall edition of R/T arrived in my mailbox the other day and it was soon that I was going through its full color pages.

This edition concentrates on the US IPMS Nationals, providing photos of all the Canadian entries and a full page on the Best Canadian entry. It also includes Marc Schacter's award winning P-47. I am not surprised that Marc did well. He and his brother were killer modelers at teen-agers when I was with IPMS San Diego back when I was stationed at NAS North Island. It is obvious that he has simply gotten better.

Due to the extensive photo coverage of the Nationals, there are three articles.

The first is the Sword 1/72 T2V Seastar by Frank Cuden. Frank offers lots of good tips to building this short run kit.

Barry Maddin does a superlative job building a 'caged' Leopard 2A6M as operated in Afghanistan. This kit used is that by Hobby Boss.

The final article is a WWI effort as Andy Bannister does a fine job building the Roden 1/32 Sopwith Triplane. He did quite a bit of 'modeling for God' on this one with full interior rigging.

Also included are the usual columns that are typical of R/T. As with all RT articles, these are well written, in full color and with lots of photographs. How do you get these great editions? Simply join IPMS Canada and trade money for magazines. It is well worth it. As a bonus, you also get their e-mail editions of Beaver Tails, which is separate from the magazine.
