NOTES:

The latest edition of Random Thoughts arrived on my doorstep the other day and it is a very nice selection of different articles. Within its 24 pages are four very nice articles.

The first one is on converting the Tamiya 1/700 USS Bogue escort carrier into one of two that were crewed by RCN sailors, the HMS Puncher. The author used a number of aftermarket sets by White Ensign, Gold Medal Models and Tom's Modelworks to enhance the ship and provide for the Barracuda aircraft.

Next is a superb article on building two Hasegawa 1/48 Sea Kings as the same aircraft in two different camouflage schemes; on an early full color version and the other a Gulf War modded low viz grey aircraft. A very good article for those building the Sea King.

Then an article on IPMS Memphis' Classic Airframes build contest. Phil Hale is a super nice person and pretty much the official model builder of Classic Airframes so obtaining the kits wasn't a problem. Many large page model images with this one.

Finally something a bit different for R/T, a sci-fi anime' project. This one is the Bandai 1/1000 battleship 'Arcadia' from the 'Captain Harlock' series.  A most interesting build and a fine way to wrap up another good edition.
