NOTES:

Hard to believe that R/T has been around for 30 volumes. Congratulations to all.

It has been a while since 29/6 in April of this year but the summer has undoubtedly brought in a number of excellent articles as this edition has quite a few. All aircraft as well.

This edition also brings the well received decal sheet. This time it is a series of squadron codes and serials for 441 Sq  Mustangs as highlighted in issue 29/4. These are in all the major scales of 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32. I also read with a bit of humor the editorial on providing strict standards for articles. Good luck as I've found that most people don't bother reading standards even when they are easily found!

The magazine starts with an excellent build of a Malta-based Spitfire as shown on the cover. A minor glitch in the article is a switch of font for the second page that I found rather tiring to read. Next is the unique CL-52, a B-47 used as an engine test bed for the ill-fated CF-105.

We then go to a Vic Sheuerman article on part one of super-detailing the Airfix Boston III. Vic is an inspiration as he takes a mediocre kit and turns it into a masterpiece.

We then get a book and some decal reviews. This moves on to doing a Hasegawa F9F Panther in a brief one page article. The final article is in detailing a Tamiya 1/48 P-47. While it may seem like gilding the lily, there are some things that can be done to add that little bit extra.

In all, a fine issue that I found more interesting that some of the previous ones, probably due to the increased article content. A nice mix of stuff.
