BOOK: Random Thoughts 29/4

REVIEWER: Scott Van Aken - IPMS Canada #5729
NOTES:

Here is the latest issue of Random Thoughts from IPMS Canada. It is 24 pages with four of them in full color (the outside covers and the two inner pages).

Though the subjects of each issue don't have to be Canadian, it isn't unusual to see 'all Canada' issues and this is one of them.

First up is an article on the Bombardier Iltis, a Volkswagen military vehicle that is performs all the functions of the Jeep of old with a few new twists.

Next is a historical article on the Mustang IIIs of 441 Sq. This includes code/serial tie-ins, photos of the actual aircraft, a template for doing the fin fillet mod and color four views of various squadron aircraft.

The first modeling article is Don Barclay's build of a Canadian Greyhound armored car.

The final section is Wayne Hui's excellent Hasegawa 1/48 CF-104 Starfighter in the first camouflaged scheme the aircraft carried.

While the issue is still bereft of columns, there is a decal review in this one.

Overall, a nicely rounded issue that has something for everyone.
