NOTES: |
Once again, the eagerly anticipated edition of R/T arrived at my door, thanks to the efficiency of the Canadian and US postal services.
As with other issues, there are a number of different subjects included in the issue to please most modelers and the tradition of having full color front and rear pages as well as full color center pages continues.
Within its 24 pages are four articles;
The first is a quite extensive build article by Vic Scheuerman on what he did to make a late war Classic Airframes 1/48 SM.79. This article takes up nearly half the issue and is superbly done. Also appreciate the plug, Vic!
Next is the cover article on a Tamiya 1/16 machine gunner.
This is followed by an article on modeling the Cougar AGVP by converting the Italeri 1/35 LAV-25.
The final article is a photo essay on Canada's new CH-149 Cormorant helo. This is Canada's version of the EH-101 Merlin, an aircraft recently chosen to replace the Sikorsky helo's in the US presidential fleet.
As with the last issue, missing are the usual columns and kit/set reviews. I can hope that they will be returning with following editions as those are always fun to read.
