NOTES: |
Once more, Random Thoughts has arrived at the doorstep. I'm always happy to see it as R/T is a well done club magazine and I always find something of interest in each edition.
This time there were four major articles:
One on doing a Spitfire PR.XI is flaunted on the cover and involves using an Otaki Mk VIII and a Falcon triple conversion set.
The other three articles are all aimed at the armor modeler. There is a nice article on tricking out the Trumpeter S tank, a very nice Accurate Armor 1/35 Humber Mk IV armored car, and an excellent Sid Arnold article on bids and pieces needed for doing a Sherman V with the deep-wading gear.
No kit reviews or commentaries in this issue, which I found disappointing. The editorial hinted that it might not be a bad idea to make RT a quarterly publication vice six times a year and to increase the material in each edition. I'm all for it, as it would allow time for what is missing from this issue, not to mention that it would probably be a considerable savings in postage costs.
