NOTES: |
The latest issue of IPMS Canada's Random Thoughts arrived recently and it is a bit of an unusual issue. No columns! Yep, they had to do some catch-up on publishing articles, so there are not an columns or kit reviews in this one. Instead, there are five excellent articles; all 'profusely illustrated'!
First up is a neat diorama featuring Bren carriers entitled "Cameron Highlanders in Normandy; June 1944".
Next is how to model a proper CH-135 Twin Huey in 1/48 scale using the Italeri kit.
A nice article on doing a 1/72 QF-86E drone from the Hobbycraft kit that has nice color photos. I can remember photographing a few of these at Mojave in 1976 during the California Air Races.
This is followed by another nice aircraft article on making a proper Hurricane XII using the Hasegawa kit.
Finally, something most of us can use, an article on how to make rings on aircraft bombs and other cylindrical objects. This is an interesting approach and seems pretty fool-proof.
