It seems that some of the best reference material is being provided on CD-ROM. This particular CD from Model Point (who also does a line of brass aftermarket bits) is just what is needed if you are into Soviet/Russian AFVs. The depth of the information and the quality of the images is absolutely first rate.
Basically what you get are drawings of the vehicle in question (for the most part) and then a plethora of images in a sort of walk around format. There are many close-ups of either museum pieces or actual in service AFVs. There is also some historical footage provided where it is appropriate.
The depth of the material in this CD is incredible. Here is a rundown of what you'll find on the disc:
JSU-152
JSU-152K, M
T-72
T-72A
T-90
KV series tanks
2S3 'Akatsia'
BT-series tanks
D-30 field gun
45mm anti-tank gun
'Komintern' tag (?)
MT-LB series AFV
Most of the images are in color, crisply done and of a good size. Just to give you an example, for the MT-LB series of AFVs there are 88 color images and over 100 diagrams. It looks as if the actual factory drawings and tech manuals were used as all the info on the diagrams is in Russian. Below are a couple of sample images from the CD. Please note that they have been reduced in size so that they don't overwhelm the page.

Overall this is an incredible work. If you have any interest in Soviet/Russian military equipment or just want to have a handy reference for super-detailing, then I can highly recommend this particular CD.
