It has been a while since Periscopio Publications has sent a copy of their Model Expert magazine and #108 is a real delight. Though entirely in Greek, this edition has two major features in it. One is on Stefan Litjens JG 53 Bf-109E-3. In this article, the Tamiya kit is upgraded with a lot of additional work and parts to produce what is one of the more interesting looking 109s to have ever flown.

But what is the best part of the magazine is a superlative diorama that takes up a good 75% of the pages of this book. In the article are complete discussions with a bevy of excellent photographs, of the detailing and additional work that went into the T-55 and T-72 tanks used. Both are based on the Tamiya kit and both are extensively worked on to produce vehicles that were used in East Germany by the East German and Soviet armies. The photographs alone tell the stories of how all this work was done and if this is a magazine you can get in your part of the world, it is worth the price of admission just for this excellent article.
