Over the last nearly 100 years, a major player in the battlefield has been the tank. As such, there have been a rather bewildering number of designs from all the major powers. Those who are just getting into armor often have trouble knowing what is what so it is great the Osprey Publishing, in cooperation with the Bovington Tank Museum, have come out with this handy spotter's guide.

Starting with the earliest vehicle right up to today's modern MBT, this book covers all of the major types. It offers a brief history of each as well as some of its traits and specifications. Each entry is accompanied by a full color profile of the subject at some time in its operational career.

It all makes for an excellent book for the beginner and one that will come in handy for the more knowledgeable tank enthusiast as well. It makes for a fun read that won't break the bank and I know you will like it.
