Book on air to air combat are real favorites amongst the aviation crowd, and World War II provided combat such as we shall never see again. Literally tens of thousands of air engagements occurred during that war from just about every spot on the globe that was touched by the war.
This is one of Osprey's compendium series of books. Books that are basically reprints of several of their individual books into one hard cover copy. It makes for not only an excellent read, but a real bargain when it comes to books.
Dogfight takes advantage of the recent Duel series of books and combines material from five of these titles into one cover. It is not only a great way to get a lot of superb reading, but makes for a handy way to keep titles in one's library.
Aircraft covered are the Spitfire, early and late Bf-109s, P-47, Seafire, A6M, FW-190, P-40, P-51 and Ki-43, providing a wide range of combat in both Europe and the Far East. It is a superb book and well worth the cover price. Recommended for all.
