I was asked about reviewing some magazines and soon several interesting editions arrived in the post. Now I know practically nothing about the subject of this one, but I did find it quite interesting. Perhaps not exactly in the purvey of scale modeling, but it may be something you might want to consider if you are so inclined.

This magazine is about battery powered radio control aircraft, a portion of the hobby that wasn't around back when I was into control line flying back in the 1960s and 1970s. It seems like the perfect way to do radio control as you don't have to mess with fuels or concerns about starting some rather large engines.

The magazine is divided into two sections. The first is on powered aircraft and the other is on gliders. In both are reviews of aircraft and products as well as features, how-to articles and columns. I found it all quite interesting and was surprised to learn how inexpensive the hobby could be. For the cost of a good 1/32 scale model and perhaps some aftermarket, one can buy an aircraft and radio set.

I realize that not all of you are going to find this of interest, but I did and if you are leaning in that direction, I suggest you pick up a copy of Quiet Flyer next time you see it. I think you'll find it to be a well done and interesting read.
