Army Wheels in Detail AW 01

In with the other goodies from MPM was this book. "Well," I thought, "this certainly isn't something that I have seen before." The book is a softback and consists of 36 pages. All the photos in it are in full color and there are some very helpful drawings of things that are not shown in the pictures.

What it is, is a walkaround. I know that these are very popular with aviation enthusiasts, and hadn't figured that the military modeler would have liked  these kinds of things, but why not? It would be a great thing to have if building a model of some particular vehicle, especially if doing a short run kit where the instructions can be vague at times.

There is a short history in the inside front cover and the rest of the verbiage is in the form of photo captions. These are in both Czech and English and very well edited.

The book literally covers the entire subject both inside and out. I doubt if there is a part of the truck not photographed as the photographer managed to crawl underneath for some shots. In addition to the extensive photographic coverage, there are a couple of pages devoted to four profiles of different variants.

Now I don't know if there is a kit of this truck out on the market or not, but this book would be a super companion to that kit. The price is unknown, but it is really very well done and worth your picking up if you have an interest in the subject.
