This latest special edition from our friends at Luftwaffe im Focus concentrates that focus on what is arguably the highest produced fighter type of all time, the Bf-109. Camouflage and markings fans will find this edition especially useful for the large number of very high quality photographs of some of the more interesting schemes. A big bonus is that almost all of these photos have never been pubished before and include several superb full color images.

The photos are from all theaters of operation and are particularly interesting as they are generally of the earlier versions of the 109. The editors have rightly decided that we get enough 109G photos so have decided to concentrate on the E and F models for this book. The result is a selection of photos and stories that you will find of great interest. The stories and photos cover many of the Luftwaffe's Jagdeschwader and are provided in numerical order. It also includes some recce planes and those used by schools.

As with other books from LiF, it is a dual German and English publication and does not suffer from syntax glitches that sometimes mar dual language books. While I'd like to not see photos span 'the trench' between pages, in this softcover format, it works out quite well

This book is invaluable to the modeler and historian alike. LiF books have been known to sell out very quickly so I highly recommend contacting the publisher at the link below to ensure that you will be able to get your own copy.
