I always look forward to the next issue of Luftwaffe im Focus. Somehow they manage to find interesting images and tell some pretty fascinating stories. It has been over a half year since #9 and this one is most welcome.

As you probably know by now, the magazine is divided into several sections depending on the subject. This one has a goodly number of articles covering fighters, bombers, recce planes and the like. For me, the pick is one on the Bu.131 hacks of JG 54. These planes were everywhere and rarely photographed. The article on these planes includes not only some nice photos, but also two very well drawn profiles. It is things like this that make Luftwaffe im Focus such a special publication.

Not only are the known personalities discussed (in this edition new information on the demise of Helmut Wick in 1940), but also those who just carried out their job with professionalism. There are a nice pair of 'pictures with a story' articles that I'm sure you will find as interesting as I.

There is delight in every page and if you've not had a chance to enjoy this superb publication, there is no better time than now.
