We now move on to the third volume in the history of the Luftwaffe bomber force; the Kampfflieger. This edition covers from the entry of the United States into the war until the surrender of Italy. Included in this book are operations against the UK, the development of the He-177, high altitude bombing, operations on the Eastern Front, North Africa and the Mediterranean, and anti-shipping operations, which include the use of the Hs-293 powered bomb and Fritz X glide bomb, both which saw great initial success.

In concert with the other editions, the book includes first hand accounts of combat operations, as well as special sections highlighting some of the more interesting aspects of weapons or tactics. Liberally sprinkled throughout are the outstanding profiles drawn by Tim Brown with additional artwork by Eddie Creek.

If you enjoyed the previous volumes then this one is but a continuation of Classics' outstanding series and is a book that you must have on your shelves.
