Those of you who have been getting this series of books know what excellent references they are. Those of you who have bought the latest Eagle Strike 109 decals will know where most of their information and artwork comes from. Classic has built a reputation for providing superbly researched and written books that are of equal interest to the historian and modeler. This book continues that tradition.

As with other Classic books in the series, it is a mixture of historical background, pilot 'there I was' stories and an outstanding collection of photographs of the aircraft in question. Make no mistake about it, this series is as much on the planes as the personalities. It includes a large number of images that I've never seen before, and that includes some rare period color shots. There are the usual excellent profiles, each with at least one photo of the aircraft in question so that the modeler can judge for themselves the markings.

In addition, it includes a section of comments by and about the 'opposition' during the time period  and a well done discussion of the camouflage and markings of the period.

Overall, an excellent book and one that should be on the shelves of those who are interested in the Luftwaffe and the Bf-109. Highly recommended.
