Concord has earned a reputation for doing superb photo books on World War II military equipment and this one continues that reputation with a look at a wide variety of armored vehicles. The book covers subjects from pre-war until the end of hostilities.

As usual, there are superbly chosen images from the various archives and personal collections. The title starts out with a brief history of the panzer corps and a look at how they were arranged, some of their tactics used in battle, their logistic supply train and how they were used in conjunction with infantry and air support.

But the real feast comes with the photographs. It starts with the SdKfz Rad 8, goes through all the different panzers, includes self-propelled guns, the various types of StuG, and even some of the prime movers.

Images cover all the different fields of combat, though not surprisingly, most are from the Eastern Front where most of the armored fighting took place.

In addition to the excellent photo coverage, there are 8 pages of quality color profiles of various vehicles shown in the book's photographs, something I like to see in any book with profiles.  It all makes for an excellent book on the subject and one that I know you will enjoy.
