Another fine title in the Concord catalogue is this continuation on German Half-Tracks. Unlike other nations, the Germans used the half track as the prime mover for its larger artillery pieces and for some of its smaller ones as well. The book starts off with the ADMK then moves on to the SdKfz2, and all the way up to the big 18 ton Sdkfz 9. The historical section covers all of these vehicles and many of the variations. It also has a section on the various special trailers used to carry tanks and other equipment. This is followed by a short section on the organization of these units that operated these vehicles.

As with all Concord books of this type, it is basically a photo book taken from private collections and various government archives. The photos are superbly chosen and pretty much follow the historical background by starting with the ADMK and moving on as the weight of the vehicles increases.  Several of the vehicles in the photos are subjects of color profiles in the center of the book, by illustrator Laurent Lecocq, of which there are eight pages. These make for superb references for modelers in addition to the photos from which they came.

Overall, this is a superlative book for those who are looking for information and inspiration regarding the light tanks used by the German army during WWII. A great reference and one that I know you will find interesting and inspiring.
