Airtime Publishing is most well known for its superlative periodicals, amongst which were World Airpower Journal and Wings of Fame. Those are now gone, having been replaced by International Airpower Review, which has somewhat combined the two.

This book on the USAF Century Series fighters has the articles taken from those two now gone publications and placed under one hardbound cover. The result is an excellent reference on some of the USAF's most interesting aircraft.

Just to give you a rundown on what is in the book, there are over 600 photos, most in color, 24 tech drawings, 13 large, full-color three views, 48 profiles, over 70 squadron tail markings and over 80 squadron patches.

Each aircraft is covered by a history of the type, a section on the different variants, and a section on each squadron that flew the aircraft. This makes for a very large 288 page reference.

Now I'm sure that there are those of you, who, like me, have all the issues from which this material has been gleaned. However, as with the other compilation books produced by Airtime, it is much better to have everything available under a single cover rather than having to dig through back editions. Those who have missed out on the series now have the opportunity to have those excellent article for their reference shelf.

The result is a book that is bound to do well and it is one that I can highly recommend as probably the finest compilation on the subject yet published.
