Notes: CD-ROM, Catalogue # 1065

This disc from Aero Research covers a rather interesting period of time. Many are fascinated by aircraft once their useful life is over or when they are put into storage. The biggest storehouse is in Arizona where the weather is generally dry with low humidity, perfect for storing aircraft outside. Before AMCARC, there was MASDC. It is the same organization, but the USAF seems to like to change the names of things, often at the cost of millions of dollars in new signage and new paperwork titles.

This disc contains 154 images, each with as much information available about the subject as is possible. These cover the period of the early and mid 1970s, when a lot of types were withdrawn from service, having been supplanted by newer aircraft or by unit drawdowns after the Vietnam war. This means there are a lot of interesting types, including four AP-2Hs, a ton of C-54s, US-2s and other reciprocating engine types. There are also Phantoms, Crusaders, Vigilantes, various helos, B-26s and a lot more. I'm sure you will find something interesting in this one and some you did not know existed.

In all, it is a nice addition to Aero Research's growing line of photo CDs and well worth adding to your collection.
