Rocket.Aero has become what I think is one of the premiere producers of quality and affordable DVDs on some of the more interesting subjects out there. This next DVD is on the Messerschmitt Me-163, probably the most unusual operational aircraft to be developed during WWII. It is the only operational rocket powered fighter that has ever taken to the skies, and while its impact on the war was negligible, it has indelibly etched itself into the minds of aviation enthusiasts for decades.
Gathering together what is probably all of the available video on this aircraft, Rocket.Aero has produced a superb DVD on this fascinating aircraft. But there is more. It wasn't enough just to cover the 163. Material on all rocket vehicles and development is also included. You'll see the various RAK cars and aircraft as well as backgrounds on the men who helped to develop these vehicles.
An added bonus are a number of USAAF informational videos and some pretty neat gun camera footage of all sorts, including what seems to be the firing on a Mosquito by an errant USAAF pilot!
Overall, this is a superb DVD. The subject is fascinating and along with other Rocket.Aero DVDs is a must for your collection.
