Every once in a while one runs across a book that is just neat. This particular book is a very nice primer that is full of interesting information regarding many famous tanks and armored vehicles from WW2. Produced by the World Tank Museum, I believe this is a collection of information sheets that were included with their pre-built tank models.

Illustrated by Yoh Moringaga, each set of drawings includes facts and figures about the vehicle in question along with a photo or two of the tank a look at models available for that tank and a short historical write-up. For many of the subjects there is a short FYI cartoon that tells some interesting fact related to the subject.

Overall, it makes for a great primer on the subject of tanks and is a nice, comfortable read. I know the experts may find the book to be a bit basic, but for the rest of us, it is an interesting read where we can learn some of the more interesting facts about some of the more widely used tanks and on some of the tank 'aces' of WWII.

Highly recommended.
