This next DVD from Compendium films covers getting a good finish on your next armor kit. The author is an award winning armor modeler whose job requires him to not only do a superlative job on the end product, but to have it done in a timely manner for pubication.

As such, he has to work quickly and yet get the sort of results that are expected from a world-class modeler.

Here is where we benefit as all of his examples not only provide realistic and believable results, but are something that doesn't take an age to complete. The techniques covered are things that we can all do and require no additional equipment other than what most of us already have in our tool collection. Though not strictly part of the how-to, I found it interesting that the author has no problem spray painting right at his work bench,  a few feet away from his computer and reference books. I must be a bit of a wimp in this regard as my air brushing area is quite far away from my workbench so I don't have to worry about atomized paint settling all over references or getting inside my computer.

In addition to the main program, there are some sub-programs that cover additional techniques such as correcting mistakes and weathering tracks.

In all a most useful production, especially to those of us to whom much of armor weathering is a mystery. An enjoyable and informative DVD that I'm sure you will find to your liking.
