This is the first book I've seen in the Essential Vehicle Identification Guide series. This particular one is on Panzergrenadier Divisions: 1939-45 and contains hundreds of profile drawings of the vehicles used by the various divisions throughout the war.

The book it organized chronologically by division and by formation date, and provides a brief history or the unit through its organizational life. Some divisions were long lasting, some were reorganized several times during it existence and others were only formed near the end of the conflict.

The book describes the various vehicles used in service with each panzergrenadier division. There is also a listing of unit commanders, vehicle types and unit structure. Where applicable, the unit's history is divided into its various campaigns with orders of battle and specific unit markings applied to its vehicles. In the back are two appendices that list the various Sd.Kfz and Kfz vehicles in numerical sequence, a handy thing to have

Thanks to its easy to use format, this book is a key reference for both the model builder and the history enthusiast. A book that I found fascinating to read and one that you can buy with confidence.
