One of the more recent growth areas for the hobbyist have been CDs and DVDs that help the modeler when it comes to constructing various types of model. None of the ones I've seen have been poorly done and all have provided insights into how to go about performing certain skills. This one is no exception in that area as British modeler Graham Dunbar Brown takes us through the steps of building, painting and detailing a German Jagdtiger.

The DVD provides information that is useful to not only the experienced builder but also to the beginner. There is little attention paid to the actual construction of the model. We seem to go from cleaning parts as they are removed from the sprue to a nearly done tank which is then cleaned and readied for painting. The rest of the DVD then covers painting and weathering this particular tank.

In addition to the main program, there are some sub-programs that cover panoramas (dioramas to Nordo Americanos), correcting common glitches, available products and references.

In all a most useful production, especially to those of us to whom much of armor weathering is a mystery. An enjoyable and informative DVD that I'm sure you will find to your liking.
