Apparently this is the first book of its type from Revi Publications in the Czech Republic and it is really quite well done. It is in the larger A4 format, card covered, and 76 pages; printed on high quality paper. The book has a number of high quality photos, as well as some taken from an old Japanese war-time movie that are used to show the various crew positions and tasks in the Betty.

As you might expect, there is a historical section covering the different variants of the G4M as well as coverage of the operational career of the Betty in its various major actions throughout the Pacific war. A listing of all G4M units as well as the various tail codes carried is also provided. Included is a section on some of the more outstanding pilots of the aircraft, captured aircraft, technical data on some of the systems and equipment of the plane and what many modelers really seek in a book like this; profiles, plans and diagrams.

There are 16 pages of full color profiles as well as color photos on the inside and back covers. Included is a full set of 1/72 plans in a huge fold out that covers the major variants of the G4M. I'm not that much of a plans person, but I know a lot of modelers that are and this is a major bonus.

I found the book quite easy to read and it was thankfully free of the oddities in syntax that often are found in English language publications that are edited in countries where English is not the primary language.  I also was quite pleased to find that most of the photos in the book were new to me, an especially nice surprise.

Both the author and publisher have produced a quality product on a subject that has really needed a decent reference. You now have it and should your interests be in the area of bombers or things Japanese, I can highly recommend this book to join your others in your library.
