Without a doubt, the B-26 Invader was the mainstay of medium attack in Korea. They were the ones that spent their nights patrolling over enemy territory, looking for trains or convoys to destroy. They were also called upon to assist front line troops as well as to provide flak suppression in advance of B-29 bombing missions. It was amazing that as many aircraft survived the war as what did.

In part because of the nocturnal nature of most Invader missions, there are a large number of photos of these aircraft. The author has chosen a superb selection of them for this book. What is particularly nice is that nearly all of them were new to the jaded eyes of this reviewer. I found this to be true of the other book in this series I reviewed and in the one I am reading now.

As with the F-86F book, it is broken down into logical sections and has an appendix at the back.

Other than the usual war stories (which were all quite interesting and informative), it is the photos that makes this book. If you are a modeler or have any interest at all in the type or the Korean war, I can heartily recommend this book.
