NOTES: | Polish Text |
A very popular subject in books nowadays is the photo monograph or walk-around. These are a huge benefit to modelers and for those who just like the aircraft in the monograph. Probably the most prolific source of modeling and general aviation publications is Poland, whose publishing industry had really taken off since the country's independence from the former Soviet Union.
This book is only one in a growing series of books published by Rossagraph and is on the Bf-108 Taifun. Packed within its 32 pages is a brief history of the type, technical specs, variant differences and page after page of quality color photos and sections out of the technical manuals. The color pictures are of an extant aircraft that is still flying and beautifully restored to pristine condition.
No part of the aircraft is unphotographed as the owner of the aircraft granted the photographers full access to his beauty and the 90 photos and illustrations will provide an in-depth look at this progenitor to the famous Bf-109 fighter.
This is indeed an excellent book and an excellent value. Only down side for English speaking readers, is that it is written in Polish, something that was amended in later volumes. However, this is a photo book and in that regard it can be highly recommended.
