Here is a really neat idea. It is from the hard workers at the Luft '46 web site and is a 2004 engagement calendar.

It is spiral bound, 86 pages and includes 12 full color pages showing an aircraft profile with markings.  Also included are 12 pages of aircraft development and a three view of the plane in question. What really makes the calendar are Virgil O'Neil's composites using models and previous war photos. A prime example is what is on the cover with the Me P.1101.

Some of the types represented are the Ta-183, He-343, Do-335 and Junkers EF 128. There is a full page for each week's planning. Dates of interest during WWII are included such as First USAAF victory over the Luftwaffe, First successful flight of a British Jet, and JG 1's transition to the He-162 are a few examples.

At the end of the book are several photos of aircraft of interest as built by several modelers whose names you may well recognize from the pages of Modeling Madness. It really is a great idea and a fine book in its own right. You can only get it direct from the link below.

Thanks to the folks at Luft '46 for the review copy.
