With the recent Wyvern review, I thought it might be a good idea to provide a review of a reference. 4 plus has been around for a few years and this edition harkens back to 2003. It is part of their 'Post War Wings' line and consists of 36 pages in an A4 format.

The book opens with a history of the type and summary of the different variants. The printing is a lot smaller than you'd get from some other books so that they can pack a lot of information into a limited space. These books are very photo intensive and the pictures are of the highest quality.

What really sets this book apart from some others are the superlative drawings. These are in 1/72 scale and cover all of the variants of the Wyvern, from the TF.1 through the S.4. This includes detail drawings and there is a large fold-out to provide unbroken plans. Also as part of the book are closeups of the only extant Wyvern, a TF.1 as well as period photographs.

Colors are also part of the package with both interior and detail colors to go along with the external paint schemes. Stores are not forgotten as there are both photos and 1/72 drawings of all the weapons and additional 'things under wings' carried by the Wyvern in its operational career.

Overall, this is a superb book that is both an interesting read and a great reference. One that I can recommend to you without reservation. Your local stockist or hobby shop should be able to order this for you
