Noy's Miniatures IAF Hardened Aircraft Shelter tarmacs.

From From Noy's Miniatures in Tel Aviv, Israel, come two superbly printed Israeli Air Force HAS (Hardened Aircraft Shelter) tarmacs.. These photo quality tarmacs are printed on high quality card stock and ready to be attached to your favorite backing as an excellent presentation base for your next model subject.

These come in two scales: 1/48 and 1/72

In 1/72, the base is 29.5cm/11.61inches by 20.5cm/8.07 inches. Plenty large enough for even the biggest jet as you can see by the F-15, which has taxied up to the hold line before the large intake warning area

And the big 1/48 base is 44cm/17.32inches by 31.5cm/12.4 inches. For this one, I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't have an appropriate plane for it, like an F-16, for instance. Instead, I used an F-84F. Of course, the plane doesn't fit the period as back then, there were no intake warning areas marked on the tarmac. Nonetheless, you get the idea

Of course, these can be cut down to fit any size smaller and one can always use an appropriate photo frame as a basis for these.

In reality, you could use these tarmac backgrounds for just about any similar style of tarmac, not just those used by the IAF.

I'm also embarrassed to say that I lost the info sheet that came with these, but you can contact them via e-mail at which time price information will be provided. Please contact Noy's Miniatures at noypines@netvision.net.il for more information and on ordering these superb airfield tarmac bases.
