NOTES: | Resin |
Next from Spectre Resins is another tactical nuclear weapon. This was able to be carried on a wide variety of aircraft including the F-4, F-100, F-105, A-4, and A-6 to name a few. It was also carried by the RCAF Nuclear Strike Force of CF-104s in Europe and on the RAF Canberra and Valiant. The Mace and Hound Dog missiles also used this warhead. It was in the arsenal from 1958 to 1980 and had various yields of from 70 kilotons to 1.45 megatons.
This kit is a two piece body. Molding on this one is nicely done with separate fins that will slot into grooves in the aft body section. This weapon came in both three and four fin variants, depending on the aircraft carrying it. You can build one three and one four fin bomb with this kit. The instructions, aside from being interesting reading, offer color information and should make into an interesting display.
