This is a very neat accessory for the airplane builder. We all know that nothing looks as nice on some planes as clear wing tip lights. Some planes have small teardrop shaped housings while others (like the Bf-109 and Hurricane) have the tip lights under a cover. In the past, most of us who install these lights have cut out the light area and then used a colored toothbrush handle. This is later sanded smooth and masked.

Well, now we don't have to sacrifice dental care as Pacific Monograph has come out with a set of 100, prepunched lenses. Yep, you simply push out the color you need, perhaps drill a hole to simulate the bulb and then install it in the notch you've made in your wing tip. There are five sets in four colors with the clear ones shown being covered in paper. As you can see by the second image, these really are pretty well cut through and easy enough to remove simply by pressing it out. It is a one size fits all sort of thing as you will sand down what you don't need just like you do with the toothbrush handle chunk.

The set comes with full instructions for those who have never replaced light lenses, but I can tell you that it is really easy to do and you'll be successful on your first try.
