Noy's Miniatures 1/48 Vietnam Helo Pad

Next nice display base from Noy's Miniatures is this very well done Vietnam helo pad. It is part of his 3D sets that includes a backdrop with a section that can be folded to provide some additional depth, in this case a blast wall.

This set is in 1/48 scale with each of the two sheets measuring 39.5 cm / 15.5 inch by  28 cm / 11.02 inch. This set is also available in 1/72 and in 1/144 and will accommodate all but the largest helicopters. Even the big ones could be used, but they will seriously jut out over the edges! Of course, the modeler can embellish the display by adding vehicles, figures as well as extra 'stuff' like barrels

I was sent one of the basic 1/48 sets that included the oil drum and sandbag backgrounds. As you can see, it is very effective.

The 3D set includes a section of card that can be placed against the background so you can put your own oil drums and sand bags against it.
