NOTES:

For the Hasegawa kit.

An item that has become a 'must have' for many modelers are canopy masks. These are designed to fit specific kits and for the most part, actually fit (I've had some that don't). The benefit of these is that you don't have to cut masking on the clear bit where there might be an issue with slipping and scoring the clear area.

I've not used these all that much as I'm one of those who finds it just as easy (and cheaper) to use Tamiya tape and cut it in place. However, I decided to grab a set for the Hasegawa Sea King on the recommendation of a reader. Not surprising is that there are several manufacturers out there that offer sets for the same kit so I picked one that was readily available.

Not much to see on the sheet itself as it is pretty much a black rectangle, but this set, like some others, provides masks for the wheels as well, which is a nice touch. These are easy to use, though it takes a bit of practice to get them perfectly in place. You can remove them and put them back but each time reduces the stick.

For those who don't like the stress of cutting your own masking or feel you aren't good at it. These sorts of things are well worth the expense.
