F-18A 162901 #41

This aircraft sports a three tone tan/brown/brown paint scheme well suited for a desert adversary. This same pattern seems to appear on a few other Hornets, but with different colors. As of September 2000, only one other Hornet, #52 wore this scheme.

F-18A 162906 #44

This Hornet wears a complex six tone splinter camoflage pattern. The bottom colors consist of three different grays, while the upper colors are tan/brown/green. The pattern looks to be loosely based on Sukhoi's SU-30 demo scheme. Twobobs Aviation Graphic decal sheet #48-002 shows the bottom pattern of this scheme very well, even though the decals are for a different aircraft.

F-18A 162894 #46

This Hornet also wears the "SU-30" look-alike paint scheme, with only slight differences from #44. In the first picture, the aircraft was fresh out of the paint shop, and had not had markings applied.

F-18A 162900 #47

This Hornet wears the all too familiar tactical gray scheme.
