For 1/32 STARFIGHTER KITS

I wanted to model the new Italeri 1/32 F-104 Starfighter in Canadian markings.

The kit offer a decoration for a Canada based aircraft with a sole serial number choice.

Mine was based in France with a specific number, so I was happy to find an aftermarket  item to match my project

Canuck models provide a very fine decal sheet devoted to +3 area (1960).

You find all generic figures to create what you need, even the little serial number stencil to fix on canopy frame. The maintenance stencils around the larges wing insignia are printed in white, a good replacement for the italeri sheet which does not include them. The large rudder flag seems to have the good dimensions according to various pictures while italeri seems to be to narrow. The red, blue, translucent lights for rear fuselage sides and wing tips are a good alternative to painting the clear kit parts because frame and bolts are printed.

All these decals are extra fine but do not roll on themselves during transfer to the model.

I use all the sheet parts in replacement of the kit box and other not covered are from italeri kit. They are also fine, so homogeneity is kept.

I use microset/sol products without troubles on decals.

In summary I recommend you this decal sheet for any of your CF-104 project during this period.

Alternative sheets for the next periods would also be welcome.
