Notes: The S-3 Vikings of VS-41 serve today as the Fleet Replacement Squadron for S-3 aircrew as the Hoover makes its way towards retirement in the next few years.  Originally formed in 1960 with the Grumman S-2 Tracker as their mount, the unit transitioned to the Viking in 1974 just ahead of the United States' 200th anniversary.

This 1/72 decal sheet is made to go with the Hasegawa kit, utilizing some of the sheet decals in conjunction to what is provided on this sheet.  There is a small template for masking the inlets on the engine nacelles that will need to be used, but overall, the sheet offers an interesting alternative to the gray and white Vikings that were prevalent in the 1970s and early 80s.  The main marking of note is the large tail marking of the Navy Jack, with its famous "Don't Tread on Me" slogan.
