From the company that brings us Bare Metal Foil, Experts Choice Decals offers sheets in both 48th & 72nd scale.

This sheet offers markings for a single seat F-106A, & a dual seat F-106B of Detachment 15, Air Force System Command, whose mission was to fly chase aircraft duties for the B-1Bs right off the assembly line.

The instruction sheet is as you see it, containing two left profile drawings, & one smaller overhead view, & one view of the tail of the  F-106B.

The decals themselves are well printed, with the smaller lettering of the rescue data legible to the unaided eye. The only common markings are the ones you see here, so extras will have to come from the spares box to build both of these a/c.  However, there are two sets of ejection seat warning triangles, &  Air Force Systems Command badge decals.

The easiest one to build from the sheet would be the single seat F-106A, serial number 90061, using the Monogram A kit.  Its in the overall gloss ADC gray (FS 16473) scheme, with a black radome & anti glare panel, with the blue tail markings.

The F-106B will take some more effort to build. It's in the same overall gray/black radome scheme, but with gloss insignia red (FS11136) wingtips & tail.  This a/c uses the black & white tail markings.  As far as I know, there is only one conversion kit to make an B model from the Monogram A kit, & that’s the C&H Aeronautical Miniatures resin conversion kit.

For those molders who like to build their kits with somewhat obscure markings, this will fit the bill.  I recommend it for the F-106 fans out there.
