Text in Russian |
It is published in the now usual format of A4 portrait and on good quality paper, it contains in its 50 pages the following articles.
Once again this magazine has shed new light on several interesting tanks, the article on the KV prototypes for tanks and SPs is a revelation. Not even the so-called experts in the west have ever even hinted at these monsters and they are multi turreted monsters at that. I just wish the text was in English, I am certain it would make a fascinating read.
I must admit the French tank has stumped me, as I do not have a clue as to its real designation. I have no reference to call upon to help me out.
The update on Kubinka is an eye opener. To say the paint jobs are tacky is an understatement. It would have been far better to leave them in their original Russian Green.
Once more Tank Master has produced a winner; the great pity is the language barrier. I know I keep saying this but the international language of model makers, historians and researchers in English. By now it should be the standard language for all serious publications on these subjects.
To illustrate this at the Scale Model World 2000 show held in Telford, England last year. I noted the number of different nationalities that came up to my stand and spoke to me over the 3 days. They ranged from Siberia to Brazil, most of Europe and down to South Africa in all I listed 20 and all spoke to me in English, or at least attempted to, point taken I think.
Highly recommended and one more for the reference self. Go out and buy it before they sell out, like all these publications they are limited runs of approx 3000 world-wide.
