NOTES:

Text in Russian; picture captions in English as well.

Published in the usual format of A4 portrait and on medium quality paper it contains in its 34 pages the following 6 high quality colour illustrations of the T-28. 4 sets of 1/35-scale plans and one internal diagram spread over the two centre pages. It also has 9 sets of none scale drawings highlighting differences in the various production models and more importantly the dates implemented. Lastly it has 31 black and white photographs of good quality. But the paper does give a grainy effect to them, better quality paper and they would be superb.

In conclusion, does it add any new information to the T-28, frankly no; not for me but then I have all the magazines and books published on this tank. But do not let this comment put you off, for those not lucky enough to have such a reference library then this will fill an important gap and help to build a better model of this brute of a tank.

Strangely it has answered and confirmed on nagging doubt that I have had for years, just how was the T-28 able to launch its bridge. This magazine has the clearest photo I have ever seen to date and I can now confirm that it is pulled forward by motor driven sprockets and chain links. Very similar to a standard cycle chain but only a lot bigger. The photo shows not only the sprockets at the front, with the chains but the rear drive shaft, and on the front of the tank you can see the shadow cast by the chains, this gives an idea of the size and shape.

So For me this one photograph is worth the price of the magazine alone, and if you have nothing else and intend to build any of the kits now available then go out and buy it, it will be of immense help, highly recommended
