NOTES:

Published in the familiar format of A4 landscape and on very high quality paper, it has 52 pages crammed full of colour photographs on the M151 A1 /A2 Ford Mutt and trailer. All the text is in English.

Split into the usual walk around of all the various relevant parts, it covers every aspect of these three vehicles, split into the M151A1, M718 Ambulance and the M151A2.

I will not even bother to list the sections, because those who have bought other editions in the series know them very well. And read my previous reviews on the series. Instead I will concentrate on the actual content of the photographs and the quality.

It has in its 52 pages 185 high quality photographs of every part of the two vehicles plus the trailer; the amount of information is staggering. Not only for restorers of the original vehicles but for those models made by Tamiya. Now you can correct all the mistakes in the kit of which there are many; with the full confidence and knowledge that will be correct. It even points out the parts, which are not standard, so you will not add them in error.

Several stand out above all the rest, the fitting of the Wireless to the M151 A2, you cannot go wrong it is all there, and the section on the underneath of the vehicles for those into super detailing what a wonderful set. Lastly the engine section is of the highest quality with the entire compartment photographed from various angles, so not a single part is missed out. Now where is that Tamiya Ford Mutt kit?

Once more the authors show in the layout and presentation of the subject that they fully understand just what it is that model makers and restorers need in a book. This edition is simple the very best and replaces other similar titles on the subject.

To sum up, If you are into modelling the Ford Mutt then this has to be the book for you. If you miss it you will regret it when you see models which have been corrected because of the information contained in this book. The only part missing from the book is the aroma of grease, paint and diesel and canvas, to those in the know an unmistakable "Military Vehicle Smell".

Very highly recommended so go out and buy it now.
