The magazine under review is Modelist Constructor No 1/2000 T34 SP Tanks again I have no contact address as it is in Russian. I obtained mine from NKR Models Australia for aboutA33-50.
First look:
By now you should be familiar with this published style, so to save you and me time. I will list the items it contains.
41 black and white photographs, 4 full 1/35-scale plans, 13 sketch drawings of internal and external differences in the various T34 SP's. Some are taken from the Tec manual on the T34 series.
It has also 11 colour illustrations mainly side view.
This magazine aims to bring the story of the T34 SP's right up to date with the very latest conflict photographs in Kosovo.
It has many new photographs taken from combat stills and covers the period from the end of WW2 up to the Middle East Wars of 1973
The plans are for the following Tanks, SU 122, SU 85, SU 100, and SUI 100.
In conclusion, if you want to complete an other gap in the history of the post war service of the T34/85 then this book is for you.
For any model maker who wished to scratch build a full interior then this book is a must, you cannot go wrong all the details are there for you. I can vouch for the details on the Egyptian number plate as I have = a similar one but used in Syria.
Once again I wish the publishers would seriously think about publishing in English only.
It deserves a place on every Russian Armour enthusiast reference shelf.
Highly recommended.
